Kathmandu, Nepal – Today marked the first day of trading in the stock market, with a significant increase of three and a half points. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose to 2,661.60 points, up by 3.58 points from the previous 2,658.02 points.
On Sunday, a total of 89,161 transactions involving 2,84,384 shares were conducted by 314 companies, amounting to a staggering Rs. 10,87,59,91,144 in trading volume. This indicates a vibrant trading day with substantial financial activity in the market.
The share prices of 104 companies saw an increase, while 141 companies experienced a decrease in their share values. Investors were notably active in the Cash Group segment, showing a keen interest in trading activities.
Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News commented on the day’s market performance, stating that the positive momentum in today’s trading session reflects a promising start for the week. He emphasized the importance of monitoring market trends closely to make informed investment decisions in the dynamic stock market environment.
