“Successful Restoration of Water Pipes at the Babri Masjid”

The Nepal Electricity Authority recently completed the maintenance of the underground pipes of the bulk distribution system of the Khane Pani Water Supply located in Babarmahal, Kathmandu, as part of their process of conducting “horizontal drilling” for electricity cables. This maintenance work was carried out under the guidance of Minister of Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav.

The Chief Executive Director of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), Ashok Kumar Paudel, informed the media that the maintenance of the pipes was completed approximately 20 hours after the directives from Minister Yadav. According to Paudel, the repair work began immediately after the completion of the drilling process initiated by the Minister, and water testing is currently underway before the distribution process can start.

In coordination with the Ministry and other related agencies, the Nepal Electricity Authority is working diligently to ensure the smooth execution of the project. Minister Yadav emphasized the importance of collaboration with all stakeholders to facilitate the maintenance and repair work efficiently.

In response to the completion of the maintenance work, Ramesh Khatri, representing Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion stating, “The timely completion of the pipe maintenance following the directives of the Minister of Drinking Water is commendable. With repairs done within approximately 20 hours, the upcoming water testing phase signifies the commencement of the water distribution process. The seamless collaboration between the authorities involved showcases a positive step towards ensuring a reliable water supply system for the residents.”
