In the upcoming year of 2025, significant renovation projects are scheduled to take place at both the “Nada Ward Citizens Hall” and the “Kita Ward Cultural Center Suzuran Hall” in response to the aging facilities. The renovations are expected to involve extensive work that will require the halls to be closed for an extended period.
After thorough consideration and planning, it has been decided that the closure period for both halls will be extended beyond the initial estimates. The closure for both halls will now be extended by four months each. The Nada Ward Citizens Hall was originally planned to be closed from July 2025 to March 2026, but will now be closed until July 2026. Similarly, the Suzuran Hall in Kita Ward was scheduled to be closed from August 2025 to March 2026, but will now remain closed until July 2026.
The renovation works will include upgrades such as lighting fixtures and movable seating systems for both halls. The closure period is estimated to last for about a year, during which time these essential improvements will be made to ensure that the halls are safe and aesthetically pleasing for future use.
