The government in Nepal has announced that it will allocate 8 billion rupees for addressing the demands of teachers. This decision comes after Education Minister Raghujee Pant stated that the Ministry of Finance has agreed to allocate this amount to fulfill the responsibilities related to teachers.

Previously, discussions were held to ensure funding for addressing the demands of teachers, but Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel had not agreed to allocate the necessary resources. Minister Pant expressed his gratitude towards Minister Paudel for now being positive towards fulfilling this responsibility. He mentioned, “I would like to express my gratitude to Finance Minister Paudel for agreeing to allocate 8 billion rupees for addressing the demands of teachers.”

Minister Pant also thanked the representatives of political parties who have pledged their support to resolve the teachers’ agitation. This move indicates a collaborative effort to address the concerns of teachers and improve the education sector in Nepal.

Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News: “The government’s decision to allocate 8 billion rupees to address teacher demands is a positive step towards improving the education system in Nepal. It reflects a commitment to supporting teachers and enhancing the quality of education in the country.”
