President Ramchandra Poudel has assigned Deputy Prime Minister Prakashman Singh with the responsibility of overseeing the daily administrative affairs in the absence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. This decision comes ahead of the upcoming international conference, the ‘Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development for Sustainable Development,’ scheduled to take place in Seville, Spain from July 16 to 19. The President’s directive, in accordance with the constitution of Nepal, was communicated by the President’s office to Deputy Prime Minister Singh.
The conference, focused on financial matters for development, will bring together various nations to discuss strategies and initiatives for sustainable development. With Prime Minister Oli’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister Singh will be entrusted with handling the day-to-day administrative responsibilities until the Prime Minister’s return.
Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News:
Ramesh Khatri believes that President Poudel’s decision to delegate the daily administrative duties to Deputy Prime Minister Singh demonstrates a proactive approach to ensuring the smooth functioning of the government in the Prime Minister’s absence. This move reflects a commitment to upholding constitutional requirements and maintaining stability within the government machinery.
