Thirteen individuals from various parts of the country have been arrested on allegations of involvement in criminal activities. Most of the arrests were made in connection with drug-related offenses.
According to the Central Police Public Relations Office, seven individuals were apprehended on Saturday from Ranibagiya Chok in Sainamaina Municipality-1, Rupandehi, including Ganja, as well as from other locations like Majuwa in Pokhara Metropolitan City-32, Yatru Gate in Krishnanagar Municipality-2 of Kapilvastu, and Taulung in Boodhanilkantha Municipality-1.
Additionally, in Dhangadi Sub-Metropolitan City-1 of Kailali, Banagau of Tikapur Municipality-7, and Simi Chok of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-17 in Sunsari, five individuals were arrested for possession of a large quantity of drugs, including heroin and various medications, without proper prescriptions.
Furthermore, in Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-8 of Kaski, a 59-year-old man named Man Bahadur Vikal has been taken into custody with two guns and ammunition. All suspects have been handed over to the respective authorities for legal action.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, stated that these arrests are crucial in maintaining law and order in the country and sending a strong message to those involved in criminal activities. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the community to combat crime effectively.
