In a tragic incident at the Danav River in Ardhau-2, Lumbini Sanskriti Municipality of Rupandehi district, three young boys were swept away while playing by the riverside. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon as the boys were indulging in recreational activities near the riverbank. Among those missing are 13-year-old Umesh Yadav and 14-year-old Raj Yadav, both residents of the same area.
The Danav River, known for its strong currents and unpredictable water levels, has been a popular spot for locals, especially children, to cool off and play during the summer months. However, the lack of proper safety measures and supervision has led to such unfortunate accidents in the past.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep concern over the safety of recreational areas like the Danav River. He emphasized the importance of implementing stricter safety protocols and increasing awareness among the community to prevent such incidents from reoccurring in the future.
