In Kathmandu, the women’s semifinal match of the Tiger Cup Volleyball Tournament has seen the APF Club progress to the finals against Nepal Police Club on the men’s side. The second qualifier match for women took place at the Pokhara Rangashala, where APF defeated Tiger Group 3-1 in sets, securing their spot in the finals.
During the match, APF managed to outplay Tiger Group in the first, third, and fourth sets with scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 26-24, respectively. However, Tiger Group fought back in the second set, winning 25-21 against APF.
The winner of the second qualifier will now compete against APF in the finals. The second qualifier will feature Tiger Group and the Eliminator winner New Diamond Sports Club in the upcoming match.
In another match, on the men’s side, Nepal Police Club emerged victorious against Tribhuvan Army Club with a 3-2 set score. Police Club dominated the first and third sets with scores of 25-14 and 25-22, but lost the second and fourth sets with scores of 22-25 and 23-25. However, they clinched the fifth set with a score of 15-12.
Tribhuvan Army Club will now have to defeat the winner of the second qualifier to advance to the finals. The second qualifier will witness a competition between Gandaki Pradesh and an Indian club. Nepal Police Club will then face off against the winner of the second qualifier in the finals.
