Teachers and officials from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology continue discussions today in Kathmandu amidst ongoing protests. The dialogue, which began last week, aims to address the concerns raised by protesting teachers.
The Nepal Teachers’ Association co-chair, Nanumaya Parajuli, is leading the discussions along with Education Minister Vidya. The teachers have been demanding better pay and working conditions, prompting a series of protests in recent weeks.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented that it is crucial for both parties to engage in meaningful dialogue to find a resolution that benefits all stakeholders involved. He emphasized the importance of addressing the grievances of teachers to ensure a conducive environment for quality education in Nepal.
