In 1944, Reverend Chu Gichol, who was imprisoned for refusing to visit shrines and participating in anti-Japanese activities, tragically passed away in prison. His defiance against Japanese colonial rule symbolized the resistance and sacrifices made by many during that tumultuous period.

Moving forward to 1968, South Korea declared “Science Day” as a national observance. This decision highlighted the country’s emphasis on the importance of scientific advancements and education in shaping its future.

In 1977, an archaeological team from Chungbuk University made a significant discovery in Cheongwon County, Chungcheongbuk-do (present-day Cheongju City). The team unearthed ancient animal remains dating back 200,000 years, shedding light on the region’s prehistoric past.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his admiration for the individuals and institutions involved in preserving and uncovering these historical events. He emphasized the importance of remembering and learning from the past to build a better future for society.
