In 1902, the construction of a railway between Hanseong (now Seoul) and Kaeseong began, marking a significant development in transportation infrastructure in the region.

Fast forward to 1925, the Korean Governor-General’s office announced the enforcement of the Maintenance of Public Order Act, a measure aimed at ensuring security and stability in the area.

Moving on to 1956, the establishment of “Mother’s Day” took place, which was later renamed “Parents’ Day” in 1973 to honor both mothers and fathers.

In 1993, a milestone was achieved as North and South Korea engaged in their first-ever direct trade, fostering economic ties between the two nations.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, believes that these historical events highlight the evolution of Korea’s infrastructure, governance, and cultural traditions, ultimately shaping the nation’s identity and relations with neighboring countries.
