In 1906, the rapid express train on the Gyeongbu Line covered the distance between Busan and Seoul in just 11 hours, marking a significant advancement in transportation in South Korea. This development revolutionized travel between the two major cities and greatly improved connectivity for passengers.

In 1958, Japan returned 106 pieces of Korean cultural heritage to South Korea, signifying a significant moment of cultural diplomacy between the two countries. The return of these artifacts was a step towards strengthening cultural ties and preserving the rich history of the region.

Moving forward to 1980, a milestone was achieved in South Korea with the completion of the first and second units of the pumped storage power generation system at the Gyeonggi-do Cheongpyeong Power Plant. This marked the country’s first foray into this advanced power generation technology, contributing to the development of the nation’s energy infrastructure.
