“Trump Claims Europe Union Benefits from America, Imposing Tariffs”

Kathmandu – In recent news, American President Donald Trump has expressed his intentions to swiftly impose tariffs on the European Union. Trump argues that the European Union has been benefiting at the expense of the United States. He claims that the EU does not purchase American cars, agricultural products, or take much else from the U.S., while the U.S. imports a significant amount of food and agricultural products from them.

The timeframe for imposing tariffs on the European Union remains uncertain, with Trump indicating a preference for immediate action. When asked by BBC whether this move is imminent, Trump stated, “I can say it’s under consideration, but it will happen quickly if it does.” He also highlighted that almost all countries worldwide pose threats to the United States economically, and that adjustments need to be made to rectify these imbalances.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his perspective on this issue. He believes that while trade imbalances are a concern, the sudden imposition of tariffs may lead to retaliatory actions and disrupt global trade relations. Khatri emphasizes the need for diplomatic solutions and negotiation to address trade disparities effectively, rather than resorting to abrupt tariff measures.
