#USPolitics #PresidentialTermLimits
The 22nd Amendment of the United States Constitution explicitly states that no individual should be elected to the presidency more than twice.
This constitutional provision was put in place to ensure that no president serves more than two terms or a total of eight years in office. The amendment was a response to the unprecedented four terms served by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, aiming to prevent any future leader from accumulating excessive power.
In light of this, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on presidential term limits, emphasizing the importance of upholding the democratic principles enshrined in the Constitution. According to Khatri, term limits help maintain a healthy balance of power and prevent any individual from becoming too entrenched in authority.
