“Two Killed in Khukuri Attack: Suspect’s Body Found”

In the village of Sakim in Rukum East Municipality-4, a tragic incident occurred where two individuals, Samir Budha, aged 8 months, and Dhaanti Budha, aged 60, were found murdered on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. The victims were relatives, with Samir being the grandson of Dhaanti. The information about the murders was disclosed by Madhav Raj Kharel, the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Rukum East.

According to Kharel, both individuals were attacked with a khukuri, a traditional Nepali knife, which resulted in their deaths. The local residents informed the police about the incident, leading them to the crime scene where both victims were found dead. Additionally, another individual, Chandrasinh Pun, aged 51, was also discovered deceased at the scene.

The authorities found Samir’s body in the open courtyard of the same house, indicating a violent struggle before his death. Chandrasinh’s death was suspected to be a suicide by hanging after a confrontation. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing by the District Police Office Rukum East.
