“Two Members Appointed to Far West State Policy Commission”

The government of Sudurpashchim Province has appointed two new members to the Provincial Planning Commission. The newly appointed members are Nrip Bahadur Sunar from the Nepali Congress representing Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City and Karn Bahadur Kunwar from the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) representing Baitadi Municipality-5.

The new members were sworn in at the office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers in Dhangadhi on Friday. The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by the Chief Secretary of the Province, Prayag Khanal. The decision to appoint the new members was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held last Friday, as informed by Khanal.

Previously, in December, the Provincial Government had appointed Dr. Rana from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City as the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission, along with Dr. Heera Chand from Kanchanpur Bhimdatta Municipality and Sher Bahadur Bhandari from Dadeldhura Ganayapdhura Rural Municipality as members.
