In a recent incident in Benitar of Tanahun’s Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-4, the police apprehended two individuals on Wednesday for allegedly not disclosing the source of Rs. 1.4 million. The arrested individuals were identified as 25-year-old Vimal Shrestha and 20-year-old Bhuvan Shrestha, residents of Ghorkha’s Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-8.

According to the Tanahun District Police Office, the temporary police post in Mugling intercepted the two individuals traveling from Mugling towards Ambukhaireni on a motorcycle with registration number Na 40 Pa 2641. Upon inspection, the police found the cash along with them, which led to their arrest.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the matter, stating that such incidents highlight the importance of transparency and accountability in financial transactions. He emphasized the need for individuals to comply with regulations and provide valid sources of income to avoid legal complications.
