Two people die in motorcycle accident in Saptari district.

A tragic incident occurred in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1, Bhaduwa, Saptari on Sunday, where two individuals lost their lives after two motorcycles collided inside a road section of a dam. Additionally, one person sustained injuries in the accident.

The collision took place between motorcycle with plate number Ko 10 Pa 562 heading towards Bhaduwa from Kankalini Mandir and motorcycle with plate number Ba 55 Pa 6639 approaching from the opposite direction. The collision resulted in the death of both riders.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafla of the Kanchanpur Police Office, the rider of the motorcycle with plate number Ba 55 Pa 6639 was identified as Avinash Mandal from Shambhunath Municipality-11, Saptari, aged 19, and the rider of the motorcycle with plate number Ko 10 Pa 562 was identified as Om Prakash Panjiyar, aged 34, from Bairawa, Kanchanrup Municipality-1.

Mandal was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, and Panjiyar succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Viratnagar-based Neuro Hospital.

Additionally, Subhash Mahato, aged 30, who was riding the motorcycle with plate number Ko 10 Pa 562, sustained injuries in the accident. He has been sent home after receiving medical treatment, and further investigations regarding the incident are being carried out by the District Police Office.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident, emphasizing the importance of road safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
