A meeting of the Madhes Pradesh Assembly has been left uncertain due to a lack of consensus among the political parties. The deadlock in the Assembly meeting, which was scheduled for this morning to resolve the ongoing disputes, was confirmed by Mahesh Prasad Yadav, the leader of the parliamentary party of the Janmat Party.

During the previous meeting on Sunday, the opposition parties had demanded thorough discussions on various issues, leading to a halt in the proceedings. The opposition parties insisted on forming a parliamentary investigation committee in the united meeting of the parties representing the Assembly to address the representation of the parties in the Assembly. However, consensus could not be reached, as revealed by Yadav.

Vasuprasad Koirla, the Secretary of the Madhes Pradesh Assembly, stated that a meeting was supposed to take place at 11 a.m. this morning but has been postponed until further notice if an official announcement is not made beforehand.

Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News: The political deadlock in the Madhes Pradesh Assembly reflects the ongoing challenges in reaching consensus among the parties. It highlights the need for effective communication and cooperation to address the issues facing the region.
