“Unity, Cooperation, and Agreement: Key to Nation Building – Leader Sitaula”

Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has expressed his commitment to working for the country’s development campaign with a spirit of consensus, cooperation, and unity. Addressing the ongoing district-level convention of the National Assembly, Sitaula emphasized the importance of assessing how much work has been done for the benefit of the country and its people in fulfilling the responsibility of nation-building.

Sitaula stressed the need to carefully evaluate the achievements promised to the public through the implementation of the constitution. He highlighted the importance of addressing weaknesses and making necessary improvements to progress and foster unity. He also emphasized the significance of refraining from making inappropriate remarks while in power and when in opposition, maintaining a focus on carrying out extensive work for the country and its people during his tenure.

Regarding the centralization of rights based on federalism, Sitaula expressed concern that everyone’s overall mindset has not yet transitioned towards decentralization. He pointed out that there seems to be a dominance of centralized thinking in party operations and state governance. Sitaula noted the lack of readiness observed in local governments to perform their duties and highlighted that the party’s narrow-mindedness hinders progress.

Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, on this matter: “Sitaula’s emphasis on unity, cooperation, and constructive criticism for the development of the nation reflects a pragmatic approach to governance. His call for decentralization and a shift in mindset towards local empowerment is crucial for effective governance and inclusive development. It is imperative for both parties and the government to prioritize the interests of the nation and its people over political considerations to ensure sustainable progress.”
