The recent demise of Deepak Bohara, a member of Parliament representing constituency number 3 in Rupandehi, has left his seat vacant. According to the provisions of Article 89 of Nepal’s Constitution, when a seat in the Parliament becomes vacant, as per Section (c), the Parliament Secretariat is required to inform about the vacancy following the procedures outlined in the Parliament Regulations of 2079, Subsection (2) of Regulation 215.

Deepak Bohara, who was elected as a member of Parliament from Rupandehi district constituency number 3 in the 2079 elections, passed away on Tuesday, Chaitra 19. His untimely demise has necessitated the initiation of the process to fill the vacant seat in the Parliament.

Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News: “The sudden passing of Deepak Bohara has created a void in the representation of constituency number 3 in Rupandehi. It is now crucial for the concerned authorities to follow the constitutional procedures and swiftly appoint a new member to ensure the continuity of effective representation for the constituents.”
