Nepali Ambassador to Qatar, Ramesh Chandra Paudel, has urged the Qatari government to facilitate the smooth release of Vipin Joshi, who is currently under the custody of extremist group Hamas. Paudel made this appeal during a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, on Sunday.

Paudel commended the role played by the Qatari government in mediating the conflict between Israel and Palestine and highlighted their efforts in securing the release of Joshi. He requested Qatar to assist in the repatriation of Joshi by facilitating the necessary arrangements.

According to sources at the Nepali Embassy in Doha, last year’s visit by the Qatari Emir to Nepal had led to discussions on renewing and enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of foreign employment agreements.

Secretary-General Hammadi expressed Qatar’s positive stance towards Joshi’s release efforts and the renewal of the labor agreement, indicating the country’s willingness to support these initiatives.
