The Chief of Publicity and Publication Department of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist), Rajendra Gautam, has spoken out against any attacks on democracy, emphasizing that silence is not an option and that the Maoist leadership will not remain silent in such a situation.

Addressing a gathering organized by the Press Forum Nepal, Gautam highlighted the sacrifice made by the people for democracy and stressed that anyone going against democracy should not go unpunished. He emphasized that when democracy is under attack, the Maoist leadership will not step back. He stated, “What other parties and organizations do is a matter of their policies and commitment. The Maoists will always be at the forefront to silence those who are anti-democracy and create a pro-democracy environment.”

Gautam, who is also a member of the Standing Committee, directed the Press Forum to accelerate their publicity work to ensure the success of the Democracy Day celebrations held on Jestha 15.

He instructed that all forms of media and social networks should be directed towards creating a favorable atmosphere for the program. Furthermore, Chairman Ganesh Pandey urged all committees working under the publicity department to actively participate in making the Democracy Day celebrations successful.

Regarding the upcoming program, he emphasized the need for extensive publicity through mainstream media and social networks to reach a wider audience and create a positive environment.
