The Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has emphasized the need to work towards good governance, social justice, and prosperity. Speaking at a national convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu on Sunday, he highlighted the importance of unity to work collectively towards social justice and prosperity in the interest of socialism.
Former Prime Minister Dahal expressed that the role of non-resident Nepalis is invaluable for the economic development of the country. He called upon them to enhance their role in Nepal’s economic progress, emphasizing their significance in the nation’s economic growth.
He also mentioned that his government had granted citizenship to the NRNA, showing his commitment to furthering their interests. Dahal urged non-resident Nepalis to utilize their knowledge and expertise for the benefit of Nepal. He stated, “NRNA has a vast network, sufficient experience, and resources which can contribute significantly to Nepal’s economic development.”
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on this news, stating that Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s emphasis on the importance of non-resident Nepalis in contributing to the country’s economic development is a positive step towards leveraging the expertise and resources of the Nepali diaspora for national progress.
