New Delhi. The Indian Air Force (IAF) informed about an incident where a combat aircraft, Mirage-2000, met with an accident during a routine training flight in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
Both pilots onboard the aircraft managed to eject safely. The incident occurred near Sunari Chowki in Shivpuri district, approximately 384 kilometers north of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.
Local media reports indicated that the pilots suffered minor injuries. Following the crash, a large fire was observed inside the aircraft, which was also captured on social media.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with the Indian Air Force initiating a probe to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
