Minister’s Directive to Bring Offenders to Justice for Assaulting Police Officers

The recent incidents of violence and misconduct towards police officers have prompted Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to take decisive action. Following a thorough investigation, the guilty parties will face legal consequences under the direction of Inspector General of Police, Vasant Bahadur Kunwar.

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday morning, Minister Lekhak, along with high-ranking police officials including IG Kunwar, emphasized the need to maintain peace and security amidst the escalating incidents involving law enforcement. Stressing the gravity of the situation, they instructed the police force to conduct a thorough investigation and take immediate disciplinary actions against those found responsible.

Incidents of violence and misconduct against security personnel in various parts of the country have raised public concern, prompting a call for increased vigilance and proactive measures to ensure peace and security. Minister Lekhak highlighted the importance of maintaining law and order by actively engaging the police force in addressing such incidents.

Speaking on the matter, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, Ramesh Khatri, shared his perspective. He acknowledged the Minister’s directive to take legal action against those involved in the incidents. Khatri emphasized the significance of upholding peace and security in society and holding accountable anyone who undermines the integrity of the security forces through unlawful actions.
