The chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has expressed the need to unite the communist movement in the country to address the political and economic crises. Speaking at an event organized at the central office of the CPN (US) in Alok Nagar, Nepal emphasized the importance of solidarity with communist ideals and values, as well as collaborating with left-wing forces to promote unity within his party.
Highlighting the ideological shifts that have occurred within various communist parties in the country at different times, Chairman Nepal underscored the importance of acknowledging past weaknesses of communist parties to focus on the development of the nation and the protection of people’s rights and interests. This call for unity and cooperation aims to ensure social justice and economic transformation in Nepal.
Embracing the foundational principles of communism, Chairman Nepal expressed the party’s commitment to leftist ideology and announced the initiation of political campaigns nationwide based on principles, policies, and programs. He emphasized the importance of integrating scientific socialism into the implementation of social welfare programs to end all forms of discrimination and oppression and contribute to the overall development of individuals and society.
Former Prime Minister and party chairman Nepal further emphasized the integration of scientific socialism into the party’s activities to promote the rights of the working class, public participation, social justice, and equal opportunities for all. This commitment to socialist principles aims to empower the working class and create a more just and inclusive society.
In response to this news, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, noted that Chairman Nepal’s call for unity and collaboration within the communist movement reflects a strategic approach towards addressing the country’s challenges. Khatri commended the emphasis on social justice and economic development in Chairman Nepal’s statements, highlighting the potential positive impact on Nepal’s political landscape and society as a whole.
During the event, senior leaders such as Premesh Hamal, Rajendra Pandey, Jagannath Khatiwada, Ramkumar Bhattarai, and Metmani Chaudhary warmly welcomed Chairman Nepal, demonstrating solidarity and support for the party’s vision and objectives.
