The Nepal APF Club emerged victorious in the ANFA Women’s League Football Championship, defeating the Nepal Police Club in the final match held at Dasharath Rangasala in Tripureshwar. The APF team secured a 4-0 win over the Police team, with Savita Rana Magar scoring two goals crucial for their victory. Alongside, Saru Limbu and Anu Lama each contributed a goal to seal the win.
In the 64th minute of the game, Anita K.C. assisted Savita Rana Magar in scoring a goal, followed by Saru Limbu scoring in the 69th minute, doubling the team’s lead. In the 83rd minute, Prity Rai’s pass led to another goal by Savita. Anu Lama further extended the lead by scoring in the additional time of the second half, securing a convincing 4-0 victory for the team. As a result of this win, the APF team earned a prize of NPR 1 million, while the runner-up Police team received NPR 500,000.
Furthermore, Savita Rana Magar was declared the best player in the competition, showcasing outstanding performance throughout. Additionally, Rashmikumari Ghising, who scored 35 goals for APF, was recognized as the top goal scorer, and Savitri Kisan was named the best goalkeeper. Both received a cash prize of NPR 50,000 each.
In a separate event, the Tribhuvan Army Club successfully secured the Fair Play Trophy. The winners were honored with awards presented by Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba and officials from ANFA during a ceremony.
