Dr. Anant, Associate Professor at the Agriculture and Forestry University in Rampur, explains that this is a common phenomenon in poultry farming during the summer months.
Dr. Anant further states that the decrease in egg production is a seasonal effect caused by the heat stress on the chickens. Farmers are now facing challenges in meeting the growing demand for eggs in the market due to the reduced supply. This situation not only affects the poultry industry but also impacts consumers who rely on eggs as a source of protein and essential nutrients.
In light of these developments, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed concern over the potential economic repercussions of the decreased egg production on both farmers and consumers.
