Prime Minister and Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), KP Sharma Oli, has faced criticism for allegedly spreading baseless accusations about his opponents until the situation reaches a boiling point.
At the inauguration of the Madan Bhandari Foundation’s fourth national conference today, Prime Minister Oli hinted at the need for a government formed through collaboration between the NCP and the Nepali Congress, emphasizing the importance of political stability, development, and good governance. He highlighted that false allegations against the government and leadership have hindered progress in these areas.
In a bid to transform himself into a decisive national figure through the upcoming elections, Oli stated that the NCP aims to establish itself as a leading force in the country based on correct ideologies, honesty, and political transparency.
Sher Bahadur Deuba, the President of the Nepali Congress, who recently returned from Thailand, expressed concern over the government’s instability, attributing it to the spread of rumors by those trying to destabilize the administration.
Moreover, the Prime Minister suggested maintaining a critical view within the party’s internal politics, urging against overlooking the importance of constructive criticism. He emphasized the need for unity within the party, refuting accusations from opponents, and advised against engaging in conflicts that could weaken the party.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the matter, stating, “The political landscape in Nepal is becoming increasingly tumultuous, with leaders engaging in blame games rather than focusing on constructive governance. It is crucial for parties to prioritize unity and constructive criticism to ensure a stable and progressive political environment.”
