In a beautiful sight, lots of cherry trees are blooming at the Japan Mint in Osaka, Japan. It’s a special event that happens every spring.
People love to come here to see the cherry blossoms. This tradition started more than 140 years ago. Now, it’s a big deal and people from all over come to enjoy it.
There are 340 cherry trees along a pretty 560-meter path. They have different kinds of cherry blossoms, with 141 varieties. This year, they’re showing off the “Ohtemari” cherry blossom. It looks like little round balls with lots of petals.
The event started on Friday, but not all the trees were blooming yet. Even so, some of the flowers were really pretty.
One person who visited from Kyoto thought the pink buds were lovely. Another person from Osaka was happy to take pictures of the flowers with their new baby.
If you want to visit, you have to book ahead. More than 240,000 people are expected to come during the week. It’s a chance to see something beautiful and remember how precious life can be.
