During their two-day visit to Nepal, Minister Khattar inspected the powerhouse and dam site of the Arun III hydroelectric project, which is under construction with Indian investment.

The ministers also inaugurated ‘Unit-2’ of the project and participated in a tree plantation drive at the same location. This visit provided them with an opportunity to assess the progress and address any issues encountered during the construction of the project with the contractor company.

Minister Khadka expressed gratitude towards the Indian government for its support in the development of Nepal’s energy sector. He highlighted the significance of the Arun III hydroelectric project for the country and emphasized that the government has prioritized its completion without any delays.

Indian Minister Khattar mentioned the immense potential in Nepal’s hydropower sector and stated that both countries could benefit from the successful completion of the Arun III project. The construction contract has been awarded to the Indian Satluj Hydro Power Company.
